Wallace August Domingue, Jr. 
January 29, 1927 - September 23, 2009

Wallace August Domingue, Jr., 82, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Christus  Hospital, St. Elizabeth.

 

A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and a seventy-nine year resident of Beaumont, Wallace was born January 29, 1927, to Irma and Wallace A. Domingue, Sr. He was founder and co-owner of Gold Crest Electric and was a member of numerous organizations including Local 479 of IBEW for sixty-five years, NECA, American Navion Society, a founding member of Southwest Navion Air Group, Experimental Aircraft Association, a past president and member of Downtown Optimist Club, board member of Boys Haven as well as Girls Haven, Chicken Club and a long time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

 

Survivors include his wife, Bettye Jean Domingue; daughters, Jeanne Robeson and Denise Domingue; son, Kevin Domingue and his wife Phyllis; grandchildren, Lauren Barrera and her husband Frank, Brandon Robeson, Erin and Ryan Domingue; great-grandchildren, Emily and Olivia Barrera; and sister, Lois Ann Hairston.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Dang officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2009, at the mortuary.
