Kristi Marie McCarthy, 24, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, in Houston, Texas.

A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Kristi was born June 18, 1985, to Ed and Trudy McCarthy.  Kristi was a graduate of Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School and was a member of the Varsity Choir.  In addition, she was an active member of the Beaumont Community Players and Kidmunity.  Kristi was a partner with several Starbucks stores in Beaumont, Nederland and Houston over the past three years. 

Kristi was preceded in death by her mother, Trudy Marie McCarthy. 

Survivors include her father, Ed; brother, Michael of Washington D.C.; sister, Katherine of Houston; grandparents, Floyd and Velma Begnaud of Port Arthur; and many other loving family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2009, at St. Anne Catholic Church with Reverend William Manger officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009, with a Christian Vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the mortuary.
