Calvin Kenneth Fancher 
January 13, 1925 - September 11, 2009

Calvin K. Fancher, 84, of Nederland passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.   Funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland with Mr. Tony Goins officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12 pm until 2 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the mortuary.    Mr. Fancher was a heavy equipment mechanic, having retired from Beaumont ISD, and will be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed traveling and square dancing. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.    Mr. Fancher is survived by his daughter, Orra Kaye Epps and husband Joe of Orange; sons, Curtis Shelton and wife Judy of Arkansas City, Kansas and David Fancher and wife Janice of Port Neches; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and his sister, Radena Dryer of Rogers, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Myrtle Fancher and brothers, Orville and Uberto Fancher.
