Albert L. Mazoch 
November 3, 1927 - September 12, 2009

Albert L. Mazoch, 81, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Beaumont Baptist Hospital.

 

A native of Midfield, Texas and a resident of Beaumont since 1963, Albert was born November 3, 1927, to John B. and Barbara Mazoch and attended Robert E. Lee High School and graduated from Lee College in Baytown. He was a member of the merchant Marines and served in the Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. A.L. got his start in the welding supply business with Linde, a division of Union Carbide and in 1963, founded Coastal Welding Supply in Beaumont, Texas.

 

A longtime member of Pinewood Country Club, A.L. enjoyed many a round of business golf and had great pride in his company as well as the employees. This along with his love for family and friends was what gave A.L. great joy.

 

His wife, Mollie Ann Mazoch; and siblings, Ted Mazoch, Nettie Zapalac and Hattie Parick preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his son, J.C. “Chuck” Mazoch of Beaumont; daughter, Barbara Nelson of Beaumont; grandchildren, David Nelson and Mollie Nelson, both of Beaumont; brothers, Leonard Mazoch of Baytown and John Mazoch and his wife Mary of Orange; and sisters, Bettie Morris and her husband Robert of Baytown and Joyce Muckleroy and her husband Robbie of Harper.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at St. Anne Catholic Church with interment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Highland, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2009, at the mortuary.
