Sue Holmes, 60, of Nederland, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, September 14, 2009, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Monday, September 14, 2009 at Broussard’s in Nederland with a Christian Vigil at 6:30 pm. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brousssard’s Crematorium.    Mrs. Holmes was a native of Childress, Texas and lived in the Nederland area for forty years. She was a legal secretary and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She enjoyed sailing, riding jet skis and gardening and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.   Mrs. Holmes is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jerry Holmes of Nederland; daughter, Stephanie Baker and husband Jason of Nederland; brothers, Don Bynum and wife Karen of Nederland and Dennis Bynum and wife Gayle of Abilene. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Cannon and Summer Broussard and Chloe and Brynn Baker.   Memorial contributions in Mrs. Holmes memory may be directed to Catholic Charities 2780 Eastex Fwy Beaumont, Texas 77703.
