Robert Lee Tyson, 75, of Port Arthur, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Medical Center of SETX.
Mr. Tyson’s funeral is scheduled for 10:00 Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Brother Joe Constantine officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening at the mortuary from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
Robert was a native of Port Acres and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a pipe fitter and welder, co-owning and operating Tyson and Kenneson Welding Company. Mr. Tyson enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, rodeo and proudly served his country as a Marine, but most of all he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Jean Tyson; five brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Woodard Tyson of Livingston; sons, Richard Constantine and wife Mary of Hamshire; Brother Joe Constantine and wife Janice of Lake Jackson; daughters, Patty Wood of Winnie, Katherine Blanton of Port Acres; 30 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; sister, Violet Roseberry of Winnie and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
