Esteban Solis, 65, of Port Arthur passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his residence in Port Arthur.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Rev. T.R. Blanco officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM at the mortuary.   Esteban was born, December 26, 1943 in Port Arthur to Luis Solis and Emilia Solis Diaz deLeon. He graduated from Bishop Byrne High School and Lamar University. He was employed with Protech Building Services, in Denver Colorado as the operational Manager with 10 years of service.   Esteban is survived by his wife, Sherrlyn Solis of Port Arthur; two sons, Miguel Solis of Dallas, and Carlos Solis of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Rosalie Sharkey and her husband, William of Houston; two brothers, Louis Solis and his wife Mollie of Port Arthur, and Ramon “Ray” Solis and his wife Angel of Port Arthur.   The family would like to give a special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Orta for their loving care throughout Esteban’s illness. Also thanks to all the family and friends for the prayers and support.   Memorial contribution can be made to St. Catherine, of Siena School and Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine.
