Joshua Lawrence Arviso
October 31, 1981 - August 20, 2009

Joshua Lawrence Arviso was born in Fort Defiance, Arizona on October 31, 1981, but was raised in Southeast Texas.  A vivacious, fun loving, people-oriented guy, he loved being outdoors especially the beach. One of his many joys was playing soccer, and his wonderful ability on the soccer field will always be remembered. A highly skilled dirt bike rider, Joshua could ride the trails like a pro.  Also he loved to fish.

Joshua considered his greatest accomplishment being the father of his two beautiful daughters Aaliyah and Marley. He was a wonderful father who loved his baby girls.

His family and friends will always remember Joshua’s big smile and wonderful laugh. Although they will always miss him, they know he is in heaven where all of his struggles have been laid to rest.

Joshua has left behind Rachel and their two daughters, Aaliyah and Marley; his parents, David and Deborah Smith; his brother, Michael and his family Sirena and Logan; his grandparents, George and Jacqueline Adams; uncles and aunts, Denise Nordenger, Mike Adams, Steve and Tami Adams, and Robert and Cecile Adams; and his cousins, Jake, Jacque, Ashley, Michelle, Haley, Shauni, Christina and Stephen.  Joshua has also left behind many family members of Arkansas – the families of Herschel and Anna Lee Gardner, Katherine Smith, and Mildred Cash Mills.

The family joins together in saying, “We all miss you and will forever hold you in our hearts.”

His memorial service for Joshua will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with a gathering of his family and friends beginning at 5:00 p.m.
