Greg Scott Beaver, 46, of Spring, died Sunday, August 23, 2009, at St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital after a lengthy illness surrounded by all of his family.

A native of Beaumont, he was born July 15, 1963, to Cathy and Kenneth Beaver. Greg had lived in Beaumont for twenty-two years and was an engineering estimator. Greg graduated from Forest Park High School and Lamar University and later graduated with a Master of Business Administration from LeTourneau University in Longview.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Beaver;  step-daughter, Gabby Rangel; parents, Cathy and Kenneth Beaver; brothers, Ken Beaver and his wife Dianne, and Jeff Beaver and his wife D’awn; nephews, Bobby Beaver and his wife Heather, Jeffrey Beaver, John Beaver, Joseph Beaver, and Kenneth Beaver III; and nieces, Lauren Beaver, and Katie Lopez and her husband Michael.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Beaver; grandparents, Marie and G.A. Beaver, and Ursula and Gordon Latimer.

Greg was a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle.

His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at China Cemetery in China. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Broussard’s.
