Fred Osborne, 81, of Port Neches passed away Friday, August 21, 2009, at Avalon Place Nursing Center in Kirbyville.   Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, August 24, 2009 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland with Pastor Michael Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the mortuary.   Mr. Osborne was a native of Bunkie, Louisiana and lived in the Port Neches area all his life. He worked at B.F. Goodrich and retired from Port Neches Independent School District. He will be remembered as a man who enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with family and loved ones playing horseshoes, washers, shuffleboard and cooking.   Mr. Osborne is survived by his sons, Ralph “Ozzie” Osborne and his wife Norma of Orangefield, Larry Osborne and his wife Rosalyn of Silsbee and Doyle Osborne and his wife Angela of Port Neches; daughters, Mollie Osborne of Norfolk, Virginia and Freida DeLaney and her husband James of Call; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, William “Bill” Osborne of Roganville and sisters, Betty La Blue and her husband James of Port Neches and Yvonne Nicholson and her husband Jerry of Nederland and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Harold, Melvin and Ralph Osborne.
