Susan Parker, 70, of Dam B and formerly of Port Acres, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Promise Hospital in Nederland.   A memorial service is scheduled for 10 am Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Camp Tekula in Chester with Rev. Steve Hays officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.    Mrs. Parker was a native of Hughes Springs, Texas. She was residing in Dam B at the time of her death. She was a beautician for many years and will be remembered as a person who enjoyed arts and crafts and lived to take care of her family as a homemaker.   Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband of 53 years, J.W. Parker of Dam B; sons, Michael Parker and his wife Teresa of Orange and Steve Parker and his wife Bonnie of Groves; daughter, Sandra Bush and husband Gerald of Orangefield; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Beckett of Jasper; sister, Virginia Hranicky of Brookeland and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her daughter, Rejeana Johnson, sister, Mary Commander, brother, Robert Beckett and her grandson, Daniel Parker.
