Conrad Webb, 88, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.
He was born August 31, 1920 in Hartsburg and has lived the past thirty years in Beaumont. Conrad proudly served his country in the United States Army Division during World War II as a B-24 Gunnery Sergeant. He was employed with Gulf Oil in Port Arthur for thirty-seven and a half years. In his later years, his greatest enjoyment was meeting with his friends at the coffee shop and attending Wesley United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Shirley Webb; son, Dr. Donald Webb and his wife Carolyn of Orange; daughter, Sharon Debes and her husband Jim of Beaumont; four grandchildren, Dana Schwalie of Orange, Donald Webb, Jr. and his wife Staci of Lumberton, Jennifer Ishmael and her husband John of Beaumont, and Brian Debes of Beaumont; four great grandchildren, John Schwalie, Ethan and Brianna Webb, and Jackson Conrad Ishmael; sister, Elritta Hulin of Groves; brother, Claude Webb, Jr. of Orange; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Conrad was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon Webb and Rufus Webb.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2009, at Broussard’s.
