Darlene Shackelford, 43, of Port Arthur, died Saturday, August 8, 2009, at her residence. She was born on November 9, 1965, in Beaumont. Darlene was a loving mother, aunt, sister, and wife.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Shackelford of Port Arthur; son, Daniel Shackelford of Port Arthur; brothers, Junior Tunnell, Bobby Tunnell, Donny Tunnell, Larry Tunnell, and Dale Tunnell; sisters, Sandy Humble, Beverly Baker, and Wanda Langham; and a host of loving family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Joyce Baker; father, Harold Tunnell, Sr.; and brother, Danny Radford Tanner.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens, Nederland. A gathering of her family and friends will be Monday, August 10, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
