Clyde "Sweeney" King, 68, of Beaumont, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, at The Concierge Nursing Home in Houston.

A native of Monroe, Louisiana, Clyde was born July 30, 1941, to Evelyn and LeRoy King, Sr., and had lived in Beaumont most of his life. He was a retired telephone salesman and a United States Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his daughter, Catherine Stellakis of Katy; and his mother, Evelyn Sweeney King of Beaumont.

A private committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium. A graveside service for his cremated body will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
