Connie Ann Thornton, 52, of Starks, Louisiana, formerly of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Beaumont, Connie was born October 8, 1956, to Edvige and Joseph Poché, Sr. She was a 1974 graduate of L.W. Higgins High School and worked as a waitress and manager for Willy Ray’s Bar-B-Que.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Wagner; mother, Edvige Poché; daughters, Dawn Marie Poché and Christina Ann Spell; son, Ricky James Terrebonne, Jr.; sisters, Betty Gail Dufrene, Cathy St. Pierre, Vicki Holeton, Sheila Osorio, Sarah Tate and Nona Cavalier; brothers, Lance Poché, Jr. and Edward Poché; grandchildren, Matthew David Medley, Nathaniel Joseph Medley, Caryn Spell, Erin Spell, Nick Terrebonne, Valerie Terrebonne, Riley Terrbonne and James Terrebonne; twenty-seven nieces and nephews; and over thirty great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with Reverend Howard Cameron officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s.
