Joseph Arthur Otto, Sr. 
November 1, 1942 - July 29, 2009

Joseph Arthur “Joe” Otto, Sr., 66, of Beaumont, fell asleep in the Lord July 29, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.

 

Born November 1, 1942, to Michael and Helen Otto, Joe attended San Jacinto College and Lamar University. He served our country in the United States Navy on the USS Constellation Air Craft Carrier. After retiring from Georgia Gulf and Up John Pharmaceuticals, Joe was employed by the City of Beaumont Water Utilities Department. A lifetime member of St. Michaels Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church Joe was a most loving husband, father, and grandfather. His kind, warm, loving spirit and smile will be missed by everyone.

 

His parents; and first wife, Lynn Otto, preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Otto; daughters, Lisa Pratt and Susan Walcott and her husband Edward; sons, Joseph Otto Jr. and his wife Hope, and Jared Boudreaux and his wife Malinda; grandchildren, Jonathan Pratt, Kayleigh Rundquist, Jenna Boatner,  Brant Rundquist, Joseph Otto III, Grant Boudreaux, Jacob Otto and Luke Boudreaux; and brothers, Michael and Vedon Otto.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2009, at St. Michaels Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church with Reverend Michael Pavez officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009, with a Trisagion at 7:00 p.m., at the church.
