Ruth DeLeon Hudson, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.

A native of Beasley, Texas and a sixty year resident of Beaumont, Ruth was born September 30, 1926 to Emillie and August Kubosh and was a homemaker and seamstress. In addition, she was owner of a north-end Beaumont icon, Village Burger, located on east Lucas and Concord for many years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles D. DeLeon, Sr. and their son, James Kyle DeLeon; and late husband, James Hudson.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlyne Knau and her husband Boyd; sons, Charles DeLeon, Jr. and Cardell DeLeon; grandchildren, Dustin Knau and Kyle Cardell DeLeon; great-grandchild, Brayden Knau; brothers; Earnest Kubosh and Walter Kubosh; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at the mortuary.
