John Arena, 81, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 27, 2009, at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, John worked as a clerk for Beaumont Iron Works.

Survivors include his sisters, Mary Conner of Vidor and Margaret Troup of Houston; sister-in-law, Lori Ray of Fort Worth; nieces, Lori Arena, JoEllen Andrews, Linda Collard and Rita Atkins; nephews, Darrell Conner, L.T. O'Quinn, Jerry Troup, Harry Arena and Tommy Troup; great nieces and nephews, Jason O'Quinn, Tracy Johnson, Heidi Stewart, Jared Troup, Cassi Troup, Allison Troup, Shanna Leger, Lucius T. O'Quinn III, Joshua Troup and Nicole Troup.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009, at the mortuary.
