Jimmie Dan Killebrew, 77, of Brookland, Texas died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

A native of Palestine, Texas, Mr. Killebrew was a butcher and owned Jim’s Quality Meats in Jasper, Texas until his retirement in 1994.

Mr. Killebrew is survived by his daughters, Sandra Holmes and her husband Gene of Beaumont and Cheryl Killebrew of Buna; son, Jimmie Dale Killebrew and his wife Bonnie of Arkansas; grandchildren, Carole Holmes, Kathy Buenteo and husband Rudy, Dallas Holmes, Stephanie Wheat and husband Richard, Jammie West and husband Jim and J. D. Killebrew, Sandie and Sheree; and six great grandchildren.

His wife, Emma Killebrew, preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Mr. Killebrew will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the mortuary.
