Bryan Parker Windham
November 1, 1982 - June 2, 2004 |
Bryan Parker Windham passed away on June 2, 2004. He is survived by his parents, Morris and Paige Windham of Beaumont; his sisters, Keely Windham Carter and husband Carl of Houston and Jennifer Windham of Silsbee; brother, Christopher Windham of Beaumont; and loving grandfather, Charles Pemberton and his wife Ganell of Blanco. Parker was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eloise Dentler Cheesman of Beaumont. Parker was born November 1, 1982 in Beaumont, Texas. He graduated high school from Excel Academy in June 2002 and attended Lamar University in Beaumont and NorthStar Academy in Bend, Oregon. Parker loved to indulge his passion for exhilaration and risk taking. His life was fullest when he was riding his off road motorcycle in Mexico and Costa Rica, sailing and diving in the Bahamas, skiing and boarding double diamonds in Colorado, climbing the Grand Teton, and repelling Smith Rock in Oregon. But Parker was also known for his quieter, reflective self – showing his love for animals by adopting and caring for a homeless dog (Jenny), or in his love for music as he meticulously picked out the soft chords of Yesterday on his acoustic guitar. Parker was known to his friends, teachers, and family as being sensitive, gracious, and caring to all, and will be remembered always with very warm, fond thoughts. A funeral service celebrating Parker’s life will be held Sunday, June 6, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Parker Windham Memorial Scholarship Fund benefiting Lamar University Theatre, P. O. Box 10044, Beaumont, Texas 77710 or Trinity United Methodist Church Youth Ministries, 3430 Harrison, Beaumont, Texas 77706.
