Doris Spruill-Brown-Nikolaus, 66, of Lumberton, a lifetime resident of Texas, was reared in El Paso, Texas and was a high school graduate of Ysleta went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at her residence at Villas of Sunnyside in Beaumont.
Doris was a native of El Paso, but lived most of her life in Lumberton where she reared her family and worked as a beautician for over twenty-five years.
She is survived by her sons, David Brown and wife Mary, Pat Brown and wife Amy, and Robert Brown all of Lumberton; daughter, Kathy Brown-Gallier and husband Randy of Beaumont; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Miles Spruill; father, L.P. Spruill; and mother, Marjorie Spruill.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Fletcher Emanuel Church Alive in Lumberton with burial to follow at Leatherwood Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Mortuary.
