Cherry Muriel Longron, 63, of Orange, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Memorial Health Systems of East Texas in Lufkin.

Cherry was a native and lifelong resident of Orange; she loved the beach and the outdoors.

Her parents, Eugene Longron and Angel Longron; and her brother, A.E. “Frenchie” Longron preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sister and best friend, Molly Longron Hudspeth of Sabine Pass; aunt, Lou Banker of Vinton, Louisiana;  uncle, Tommy Stutes of Carless, Louisiana; and all the children she loved; nephews, Jayson S. Lyday of Caldwell, Matthew S. Hudspeth of Sabine Pass, A.E. “Artie” Longron, Jr. of Orange and Charles “Charlie” Stutes, Jr. of Boston, Massachusetts; great nephews, Wesley J. Lyday of  Caldwell, AJ Longron of Brenham and Andrew Longron of Orange; great nieces, Misty Stutes Smith of Casa Mesa, California, Heather Stutes of Orange and Angel Longron of Deweyville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Mortuary.
