Alice K. Bennison, 89, of Beaumont, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 in Port Arthur.

A native of Marshall, she had been a resident of the Beaumont area most of her life where she was a member of the Delta Rho Delta Sorority, the Woman’s Club, Garden Club, Pythian Sisters and the Friendship class at Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty two years Walter Bennison. Survivors include her daughters; Sandra Robinson and husband Ron of Port Neches, Wanda Prestridge and Glenn Mikko of Beaumont, Jean Goodwin and husband Preston of The Woodlands,; sister Pauline Owens and husband Jimmy of Beaumont,; three grandchildren, Kevin Mikko and wife Karen of Justin, Kendra Mikko Vickery and husband George of Beaumont, Melanie Goodwin of Dallas; two great-grandchildren, Katelin Mikko and Cole Mikko; sister-in-law, Alice Johnson of Dallas and many other loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. 

The family wishes to send special thanks to the Beaumont Family Practice, Southern Home Health, and Odyssey Hospice.  Thanks for three years of extraordinary loving care and ministry given by Lizete Ellis and family, Nadia, Gwendolyn, Charles, Mary and Javier.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
