Rose Mary Hodges Duplant, 79, of Lumberton died January 16, 2006 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.  A native of Ford, Idaho, she was a resident of Port Arthur from 1946 until moving to Lumberton in 1990, where she currently resided. Rose Mary was an Avon representative for fourteen years and since 1990 was an active member of Infant Jesus Catholic Church Altar Society and also ran the Gift Shop at Infant Jesus.

She is survived by her son, Lloyd Duplant and his wife Vivian of Lumberton; daughters, Jo Ann Larson and her husband Lenny of Port Arthur and Beverly Duplant of Vidor; sisters, Eileen Rickard, Eleanor Martinusen and Evelyn Parrish all of California; brothers, Bill Hodges and Bob Hodges both of California; grandchildren, Morgan Duplant, Logan Duplant, Eric Larson, Tracy Larson, Michael Palmer, and Tara Smith; great grandchildren, Daniel Wright, Koen Larson, Zenna Smith, Kaid Smith, and Christopher Palmer. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont followed by burial at Memory Gardens.  Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Larson, Jody Smith, Michael Palmer, Morgan Duplant, Logan Duplant, Lenny Larson, and Steve Sons.  A gathering of family and friends will from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 p.m.  on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Mortuary.
