Joseph D. “ Mack ” McMains, Sr. 77, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2005 at the Southeast Texas Medical Center in Port Arthur..

He was a native of San Antonio born July 2, 1928, and had been a resident of the Port Arthur area for the past 45 years.

Survivors include hiswife, Geneva McMains of Port Arthur; four daughters, Lorrain Clapton and husband, Bill of Port Arthur, Maagie Courville and husband, Jason of Beaumont, Dora Baque and husband, Marty of Fannett, and Becky McMains of Nederland; two sons, Joseph David McMains, Jr. and wife, Juanita, and Kenneth Boyd all of Nederland. Also surviving ar fourteen grandchildren, Cory, Coleman, and Chase McMains, Jennifer, Jermey, and Jake McMains, Billy, Matthew and Josh Clopton, Hannah Couville, and Dorine, Breana, Monica, and Eline Boique; and five great grandchildren Hallie and Macy McMains, and Jesia, Aurby, and Anna King, along with one sister, Lounora Wetzel of Mart, and one brother, Sid McMains of Waco.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. in Nederland, with graveside services scheduled for 10:00 am, Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Barksdale Cemetery in Barksdale, TX.
