Leonora Catherine Barranco, 81, of Castle Rock, Colorado died July 22, 2005 in Lone Tree, Colorado. 

Leonora Catherine Tarantolo was born November 20, 1923 in Beaumont, and was the daughter of Julian Tarantolo and Jennie Allegro Tarantolo. She was married to Frank Barranco on February 24, 1946 and he preceded her in death May of 1982. Leonora’s life was all about her family. A former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beaumont, attended St. Cecilia’s Church in Houston and St. Francis of Assisi in Castle Rock.

Leonora’s son, Samuel Paul Barranco, preceded her in death in 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Ann Bridgers and her husband Rodney of Castle Rock, Colorado; brother, Paul Tarantolo of Houston; beloved grandmother of Christin Bridgers and Sammy Bridgers; and the loving great grandmother of Kyan Proctor.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, July 25, 2005 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock, Colorado under the direction of Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 P. M. until 4:00 P. M. Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.  A graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at Magnolia Cemetery.
