William R. “Bill” Henderson, 81, of Nederland, died Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born on March 21, 1935, to Anna Lee Hodges Henderson and William Richardson Henderson, Jr., in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Bill was a United States Air Force veteran. He retired from Ameripol-Synpol after thirty-three years as a lab technician. Bill was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed exercising.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Lettica Karlene Henderson of Nederland; son, Richard Henderson and his wife, Judy, of Warren; daughter, Jeanie A. Smith and her husband, Buz, of Groves; grandchildren, Amy, Jodie, Haley, and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Issac, Logan, Cheslie, Haven, and Julius.

A graveside service for Mr. Henderson will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2016, at Buckner Cemetery, FM 417, Center, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
