Charlene Taylor died peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at The Rosemont, Kingwood, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Taylor was born on September 2, 1926, in El Campo. She married Arthur Taylor, on October 30, 1944, and they moved to Winnie in 1959. They enjoyed many years of square dancing, country and western dancing and spending time with family and friends. She worked for Dr. Love as an office nurse for twenty-two years. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Winnie-Stowell Church of Christ.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughters, Linda Brown and her husband, J.R., of Pearland and Nancy Berggren and her husband, John, of Kingwood;  grandchildren, David Duplichen and his wife, Kristi, of Pearland; Michelle Young and her husband, Dustin, of New Caney and Bob Baier and his wife, Katie, of Kingwood; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Sydney, Lauryn and Eli.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by the love of her life and dance partner of fifty-four years, Arthur N. Taylor, Jr.; parents, Doc and Meta Mitchell; and brothers, Leroy, William and Ray Mitchell.

A graveside service for Mrs. Taylor will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2016, at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie, with Dr. Marion Hendrickson, presiding, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
