Patricia "Pat Laird" Vickery 
October 16, 1943 - September 11, 2016

Patricia “Pat Laird” Vickery, 72, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Vidor, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 16, 1943, in Kountze, to M.F. Pete Jordan and Eula Lee Harp Jordan. She was a former police dispatcher for over thirty years, working with the Silsbee Police Department and retiring from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department.

Survivors include her son, Mike Laird and his wife, Jill, of Kountze; daughters, Deborah Laird Walker and her husband, Wayne, of Vidor and Terri Laird Neuville and her husband, Terry, of Prairieville, Louisiana; stepsons, Mark Vickery and his wife, Michelle, of Fountain, Colorado and Chris Vickery and his wife, Kim, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Eric Clopp; Adam Clopp; Brandon Laird and his wife, Keesha; Jeffrey Neuville and his wife, Lynsey; Dustin Neuville; Kristen Vickery Derryberry and her husband, Donald; Matthew Vickery; Maya Vickery; Mark “Buddha” Vickery; Kate Vickery; and Carson Vickery; great-grandchildren, Caden Laird, Paxton Laird, Slade Laird, Jackson Derryberry, and Dahlia Derryberry; sisters, Ellen Jordan of Lake City, Colorado; Frances Smith and her husband, James, of Little Cypress; and Mary Anderson and her husband, Johnny, of Kountze; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charlie Laird and Joe Vickery; and brothers, James Bozeman and Eddie Gene Hall.

The family would like to express their thanks to Ms. Pat’s caregivers; Heart to Heart Hospice; son-in-law, Wayne Walker; and grandson, Eric Clopp. 

A gathering of Ms. Pat’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests your favorite memory of Pat to be written on a card and left for her children and grandchildren.
