Robert D. Shaw, 47, of Sour Lake, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. He was born on August 6, 1969, in Madrid, Spain, to Hannah D. Shaw and William D. Shaw.  Robert was a Chef/Juvenile Detention Officer.

He is survived by his wife, Kena Kucera-Shaw; and daughters, Kenay Shaw and K’Bre Shaw, all of Sour Lake; brother, David Shaw, of Nederland; niece, Hannah Shaw, of Nederland; nephew, Mason Shaw, of Nederland, currently stationed at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Robbie “Gammi” Kucera, of Sour Lake; uncles, Bud Nash, of Moss Bluff and Bill Nash, of Ben Brook; aunt, Sue Griggs, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and numerous cousins and close friends.

A gathering of Mr. Shaw’s family and friends will begin at 2:30 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 3:30 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private committal will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
