Charles “Chuck” Walker, 65, of Nederland, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016. He was born on September 15, 1950, in Beaumont, to Ethel Wagner Walker and Darrel Leroy Walker.
Charles was a United States Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He retired after thirty-seven years of service from Exxon Mobil as a boilermaker/welder. Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifetime NRA member. He will be remembered as a man of steel with a heart of gold.
Survivors include his sons, Chad Walker and his wife, Emily Faulk, of Port Neches and Darrell Walker of Nederland; grandchildren, Brandon Walker, Alyssa Walker, and Andrea Dean; great-granddaughter, Eva Walker; sisters, Carolyn Jean Mazzola of Bevil Oaks; Bobby Joe Murphy and her husband, Lee, of Silsbee; Lois Davis of Beaumont; and Ann McCallion of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alton Burroughs; and sister, Billie Nordstrom.
A memorial service for Mr. Walker will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. |
