Andrew “Peanut” Rivers, 88, of Silsbee, died Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born on February 8, 1928, in Many, Louisiana, to Patricia and Joseph Rivers. He was a retired consultant for Mitchell Energy.
Survivors include his daughter, Gail Young and her husband, Scott, of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Dillon Young of Flower Mound; Andy Bailey and his wife, Candice, of Katy; great-grandchildren, Nolan Bailey; Keegan Bailey; and sister, Clara Garcia of Zwolle, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Opal Rivers; brothers, Melvin Rivers, Joe Rivers, Gene Rivers, Fred Garcia; and sister, Mary Jane Garcia. A gathering of Mr. Rivers’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Broussard’s,
