Shelley Propes Maxey, 98, of Beaumont, died Sunday, July 17, 2016. She was born on October 12, 1917, to Sally Nix Propes and Duncan Propes, in Henderson.

Survivors include her nieces, Peggy Ann Redus of Corpus Christi and Ruth Louise Winger of Garland; great-nieces, Glenda Kimbrough and her husband, Dr. Kenneth Kimbrough, of Longview; Treena Foster and her husband, Scottie, of Henderson; and Yvonne Hawthorne and her husband, Tim, of Corpus Christi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry K. Maxey.

A graveside service for Mrs. Maxey will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2016, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
