Juanita Jones Pate
October 14, 1925 - July 6, 2016

Juanita Jones Pate was born October, 14, 1925, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Jones.  She was a life-long resident of Beaumont and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1943. In 1948, Juanita married Charles W. Pate, Sr., and they later were blessed with four children. They lived a very blessed life together. The good Lord felt it was time for her to leave this world on July 6, 2016, and join the Father and all of her dear friends and family members.

Juanita will be greeted by her husband of forty-eight years, Charles W. Pate Sr.; her beautiful daughter, Becky Pate; her parents; sister, Lou Ann Williams and her husband Wayne; brother, Joseph Jones, Jr.; and son-in-law, Gene Meredith.  She will also be greeted by nephews, Mark and Joe Jr. Robicheau, and Gordon Jones, along with her Pate, Robicheau and O’Gilvie in-laws.

Juanita retired from Beaumont Independent School District after twenty-one years of services, and was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and beach trips with the family.  Juanita was a very loving mother and wife.

She loved the holidays, especially Christmas. Juanita loved having all her family around her.  She also enjoyed her group of friends that she played card games with. Juanita loved going to the casinos and was ready to go anytime someone would take her.

Left behind here to cherish her memory is daughter, Peggy Meredith; sons, Charles (Win) Pate and his wife, Ginger and Paul Pate and his wife, Dee; grandchildren, Jason and Kristan Meredith, Gina and Allan Cox, Brian Pate, Chris Pate and Matthew Pate; great-grandchildren, Gabie and Tyler Meredith, and Meredith and AnnMarie Cox; brother, Jerry Jones and his wife, Anita; sister-in-law, Emogene Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In 2009, Juanita moved to Collier Park Assisted Living and loved it there.  Her caretakers were a comfort to her, especially Helen Rideau and Tommy Andress. She loved them very much.  The family would like to thank Collier Park and these sweet ladies.

Recently Juanita moved to Pelican Bay Assisted Living and greatly appreciated the wonderful staff that cared for her during her short time there.  A special thanks to Krudi, and many thanks to the staff at Girling Home Health who took care of her for many years.

A gathering of Mrs. Pate’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
