Ethel Marie Bruening 
November 1, 1929 - July 4, 2016

Ethel Marie Bruening, 86, of Vidor, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. She was born on November 1, 1929, in Freeport, Texas, to Remy Trosclair Domingues and Ory Domingues. On November 6, 1951, Ethel married Howard Charles Bruening, and together they raised a family.

She is survived by her sons, Howard “Charles” Bruening, Jr. and his wife, Dixie; and David A. Bruening; grandchildren, Daniel Bruening, Jacob Bruening, and Kendall Bruening; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her very special friend, Ron Mayea and his wife, Lynn.

Ethel is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Bruening; daughter, Cynthia A Bruening; brothers, Walter Domingues and Van Domingues; and sister, Beatrice Magnon.

A Rosary will be recited for Mrs. Bruening at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1600 North Main Street, Vidor, with her interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Vidor.
