February 26, 1928 - June 27, 2016

Paul Victor Kintner, Sr., 88, of Fannett, passed from this life to greet his Lord and Savior, on Monday, June 27, 2016. He was born on February 26, 1928, East St. Louis, Illinois, to Mary Olive Duard Kintner and Milton Jay Kintner.

Paul was one of eight children that survived the depression era. He served two tours of active duty with the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Upon honorable discharge, he began his employment with Mobil Chemical Company in East St. Louis. In 1966, he transferred to Beaumont, Texas. Paul retired in 1987 after thirty-seven and a half years of service.

He and his loving wife, Rosalie, filled their retirement with trips to Arkansas with friends and family, as well as spending time with their children and grandchildren. They were also very involved in the life of their church. In his later years, Paul was a member of First Baptist Church Fannett.

His mission and call in life was to be certain that everyone he met knew that he was a Christian. Paul’s daily walk with the Lord has left a living legacy of faith. He walked with a firm step, and he was always guided by God’s word. Paul’s family will be forever blessed by his Godly example. He showed everyone how to be a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather, and a servant of the Lord.

Paul is survived by his children, Paul V. Kintner, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Lockhart, Texas; Rose Marie Johnson and her husband, Wynn, of Lorena, Texas; Lynnda Lee Castolenia and her husband, Michael, of Lumberton; and Carl Jay Kintner and his wife, Barbara, of Fannett; grandchildren, Aaron Johnson, Haylie Wardlaw, Michelle Ricks, Parker Bittle, Spencer Bittle, Hunter Bittle, Hannah Castolenia, Katelyn Fournet, and Allison Kintner; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
