Ben Lee Hooks, 60, of Daisetta, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on November 18, 1955, in Silsbee, to Oma Lee Reeves and Ben Lincoln Hooks.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Hooks of Daisetta; children, Little Ben Hooks and his wife, Lisa, of Silsbee; Joseph Hooks of Town Bluff; Rosie Munoz and her husband, Rodolfo, of Cut and Shoot; Danny Boy Hooks; and Danielle Hooks, both of Silsbee; mother, Oma Lee Fore of Daisetta; grandchildren, Justice McCormick of Saratoga; Destiny Hooks; Ethan Roundtree; and Cheyenne Roundtree, all of Silsbee; siblings, Sheila Pharis of Arlington; Bulinda Mathis and her husband, Tony, of Silsbee; George Hooks of Daisetta; Darlene Engelke  of Beaumont; Ida King and her husband, Stewart, of Rice; and Mary Abernathy of Beaumont; and fifteen nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Grady Fore; granddaughters, Marie McCormick and Kloe McCormick; grandson, Justin McCormick, Jr.; and niece, Madison McWilliams.

A gathering of Mr. Hooks’ family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Hooks-Cravey Cemetery, Silsbee.
