Sue Rudder, 75, of Sour Lake, died Sunday, May 8, 2016. She was born on October 22, 1940, in Marshall, and had been a longtime resident of Sour Lake.

Sue is survived by her son, Steven Rudder and his wife, Cindy, of Katy; daughter, Susan Weatherly, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Christopher Rudder and his wife, Tami, of Katy; Sean Rudder and his wife Brittany, of Beaumont; Robert Rudder and Lee Rudder, both of Austin; Catherine Shute and her husband, Bobby, of Sour Lake; and Allison Weatherly, of Beaumont; great-grandchildren, Aubrea Rudder, Hannah Rudder, and Maci Rudder, all of Katy, Bailey Shute and Berkley Shute, both of Sour Lake; sister, Patsy Sensat, of Jennings, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry L. Rudder; and sister, Melba Jacobs.

She was also known as Ma Sue by many that knew her. Sue was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A gathering of Mrs. Rudder’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 765 6th Street, Sour Lake, with her interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
