Mary Victoria Hanson, 95, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016. She was born on December 12, 1920, in Cando, North Dakota, to Katie Moser Kufner and Joseph A. Kufner.

Mary was a resident of Nederland for approximately forty years where she and her husband, Orval, owned and operated Viking Enterprises for most of her adult life. She was an outstanding and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Orval L. Hanson and his wife, Kay, of Beaumont and Bill J. Hanson and his wife, Marylon, of Montgomery; grandchildren, Mark Hanson; Heather Hanson-Koonce; Jenny Overstreet and her husband, Cory; and Emily Root and her husband, Brian; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Elsie Wieker of Cando, North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Orval Manuel Hanson.  

A graveside service for Mrs. Hanson will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2016, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 101 Block Street, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
