Fayle Leger 
December 8, 1926 - March 14, 2005

Fayle Leger, 78, of Blanco died March 14, 2005 at Live Oak Medical Center in Blanco, Texas.  Born in 1926 to Joseph and Mabel Vick Lastro in Victoria, Texas, longtime resident of China and a resident of Blanco for the past two years. Fayle will be remembered for her love of reading, seamstress, traveling and chocolate candy.  She taught school at the elementary school in China, taught CCD classes at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church, and was a member of Alter Society.

 

Fayle is survived by her daughters; Henrietta Kunrtz of Houston, Bridget Vercher and her husband James of Pineville, Louisiana, Kathleen Greer of New Braunfels, Elizabeth Ann Leger of San Antonio, Regina Leger of Houston, Denise Leger of Austin and Amy Edwards and her husband Doug of Blanco; son, Wayne Leger and wife Melissa of Austin; sister, Evelyn Lastro of Pineville, Louisiana; eighteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Leger and her daughter, Mary Charles Martin.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 noon on Friday, March 18, 2005 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with burial to follow at China Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the mortuary.
