Eric Shirley, 57, of Nederland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2016. He was born on October 12, 1958, in Port Arthur, to Audrey Lee Campbell Shirley and Harril Hillman Shirley.

Eric enjoyed riding motorcycles with the Eagle’s Club. He also enjoyed volunteering for benefits and fund raising. Eric loved Nederland Bulldog football, and enjoyed traveling and sharing stories and jokes with his friends.

Survivors include his son, SFC Joshua Shirley and his wife, Jeannette, of El Paso; daughters, Brittiny Palazzo and her husband, Justin, of Spring and Sarah Shirley of Conroe; grandchildren, Molly Scharff, Jonathan and Dianna Shirley, and Athan Palazzo.

He is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Michelle Henry.

A gathering of Mr. Shirley’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 3016, at Broussard’s.
