Margie Christine Eakens, 92, of Beaumont, died Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born on November 11, 1923, in Gorman, to Mary Allison Mauney and Troy J. Mauney, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Joyce Bonura, of Beaumont; son, John Underwood and his wife, Beverly, of Brookeland; grandchildren, Michael Zingelmann and his wife, Rayne; Melody Johnson and her husband, Charles, and their daughter, Victoria; Robert Zingelmann and his wife, Tamara; Timothy Courson; and Wendy Galvan and her husband, Ernie; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, June Heath; brothers, Kenneth Mauney and Pete Mauney; and dear friends and neighbors, Debbie and Roger Simon and Louise Walden.

A gathering of Mrs. Eakens’ family and friends will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Restland Memorial Park, 4434 Highway 59 South, Livingston, with Reverend Charles Johnson, officiating.
