James B. Davis, Sr., 
May 9, 1945 - April 19, 2016

James B. Davis, Sr., 70, of Beaumont, went to be with his heavenly father Tuesday, April 19, 2016.  Mr. Davis was born on May 9, 1945, in Port Arthur, to Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Davis.

He joined the United States Army in 1963 and served tours in Korea, Germany, and Vietnam, as well as other state side duty assignments. He received a Purple Heart in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in December of 1969. He was the parts and service manager for Mingle Motor Company in Port Arthur for twenty-seven years. He was also instrumental in opening parts departments for other Chrysler dealerships. After retiring as a parts manager, he co-owned Absolute Home Recovery, specializing in mold remediation. He was a member of VFW post 1514 in Village Mills.

Survivors include his son, James Davis and his wife, Melissia, of Winnie; daughter, Jana Grace and her husband, Tiger, of Plaquemine, Louisiana; three beautiful granddaughters, Emily Comeaux, Lillian Davis, and Olivia Davis; beloved sister, Bobbie Jean Taylor of Lufkin; and his four-legged best friend, Lulu Davis. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Davis; parents, Opal and Tommie Davis; and brothers, Billy F. "Rusty" Davis and Tommy Davis.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Davis will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Warren, 11645 Highway 69, Warren. His committal was held at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont.
