Amar Singh Ahluwalia, 85, of Beaumont, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on December 20, 1930, in India, to Brahma D. and B.L. Ahluwalia. Amar was a retired Chief of Security of the Parliament House, in India.

He is survived by his children, Alka Khatri and her husband, Vinod, of Beaumont; and Anita Ohrie and Ajit Ahluwalia and his wife, Rekha, all of Houston; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Amar is preceded in death by his wife, Sumitra Ahluwalia; daughter, Aruna Sajnani; and sons-in-law, Dalip Ohrie and Purshotam Sajnani.

A memorial service for Mr. Ahluwalia will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
