Anthony Genuardi, 88, of Nederland, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016. He was born on February 1, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mary Perrone and Frank Genuardi, and had been a longtime resident of the area.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus Nederland Council #5145 and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Survivors include his children, Lucia Genuardi, and Mary Elizabeth Genuardi, both of Nederland; Robert Anthony Genuardi and his wife, Jeannette, of Lewisville; Paul Frank Genuardi of Bowie, and John Kirkland Genuardi of Beaumont; grandchildren, Madeline Grace Genuardi, Lucia Nicole Genuardi, and Roger Anthony Genuardi; and many friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleola Genuardi, and brother, Samuel Genuardi.

A gathering of Mr. Genuardi’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with his Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Memorial Mass will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with his Enichement of his cremated body to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur. Cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
