Ilma Gaylene Cooper, 94, of Silsbee, died April 12, 2016.  She was born on October 18, 1921, in Jewel, Iowa, to Emma Oberender Davis and Gilbert Davis, Sr.

Survivors include her son, Larry Cooper and his wife, Pat, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Glenn Cooper and his wife, Mary; Shelley Cooper Peevey and her husband, Michael; Christy Cooper Delacerda and her husband, John; Heather Cooper Latino and her husband, Lance; Chris Cooper; Mitchell Cooper and his wife, Jean; and Lyndsey Cooper Sargent and her husband, Cody; great-grandchildren, Briant Lewis, Alex Freeman, Camron Byrd, Corbin Delacerda, Addison Latino, Payson Latino, Hadley Cooper, Taylor Cooper, Kaileigh Cooper, Zane Cooper, and Tayleena Blake Cooper; brothers, Gilbert Davis and his wife, Pearl, of Ragley, Louisiana; and Kenneth Davis of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sister, Mary Tramonte and her husband, Jimmy, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and daughter-in-law, Diana Cooper Malone and her husband, Thomas, of Vinton, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Edward Cooper; sons, Robert “Bobby” Edward Cooper and Lyndel Ray Cooper; and grandson, Gary Eugene Cooper.

A gathering of Mrs. Cooper’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 15, 2016, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at R.S. Farmer Memorial Park, Silsbee.
