Florence Evelyn Meshwert, 84, of Groves, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016. She was born on January 16, 1932, in Port Arthur, to Lillian Hilton and Elder Gilbert, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Survivors include her children, Roxie Knighten of Silsbee; Bonnie Parker of Groves; Sherry Porter of Fannett; Ricky Cubbage of Houston; and Karla Trahan of Fort Worth; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Wolman; stepfather, Alexander Wolman; son, Forrest Cubbage; and husband, John G. Meshwert.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
