Gene Arthur Dyson, 78, of Buna, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Silsbee Oaks, Silsbee. He was born on May 5, 1937, in Orange, to Adine Killen and Carl Dyson.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Dyson; son, Steve Dyson and his wife, Nancy; daughters, Candice Stanley and her husband, Bubba; J’Juana Hester and her husband, Billy; and LaGena Stark and her husband, Edwin, all of Buna; step-son, Matthew Shuman of Redding, California; close family friend, Lilly Hutto and her husband, Paul, of Buna; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Annabelle Dickerson, Gertrude Goode, and Jennie Ann Pruett.

A gathering of Mr. Dyson’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
