James E. Broussard, Jr., 81, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Christus Hospital-St Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on May 30, 1934, to Martha Zwahr Broussard and James Broussard, in Port Arthur. James was a Deacon at Northwest Church of Christ and owner of J&J Lawnmower Repair.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; son, Brian Broussard and his wife, Andrea, of Livingston; daughters, Jamie Rice and her husband, John and Denise Pryor and her husband, Jack, all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Johnny Rice and his wife, Amanda; Kristen Adams and her husband, Ben; Taylor Pryor; Chase Pryor; Will Broussard; Anna Broussard; Brandon Rice; and Jasmine Rice; and great-grandchildren, Hayden Tucker, Grayson Tucker, Weston Rice, and Hallie Rice.

He is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jennifer Rice.

A gathering of Mr. Broussard’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
