Kendall Susan McDonald
October 7, 1995 - March 21, 2016

Sunshine. That’s what Kendall Susan McDonald was. She was smiling rays of sunshine warming anyone who came in contact with her. She left us at the tender age of 20, on Monday, March 21, 2016. A lifelong resident of Lumberton, Kendall was born on October 7, 1995, to Kimberly Susan McDonald and Jeffry Ray McDonald, in Beaumont. She was the epitome of what being a Lumberton Raider is all about. She wore her red and blue beautifully. Lumberton is known for its community spirit and she exhibited this perfectly. She loved to cheer, loved her friends, loved her family and community. She was aspiring to be an engineer at Texas State University where she was a Delta Zeta and gained many beloved sisters.

Kendall leaves behind a beautiful and loving family including her parents, Kimberly and Rocky McDonald; and brother, Taylor Ryne McDonald and Abby Lauren Mudd, all of Lumberton; grandparents, Mary Susan and Leslie Baker, of Lumberton; Peggy and Johnie McDonald and Tim Isaacs, all of Crystal Beach; uncles, Kraig Baker, Jake Hemmings, Jeremy Hemmings, and Larry Morgan; aunts, Erin Hemmings and Shaye Morgan; and cousins, Jude, Julian, and Jaxtin. She adored her family and was anxiously anticipating the arrival of her soon-to-be-born niece, Graysen Jane McDonald.

She is preceded in death by her aunt, Karrie Baker and grandmother, Sandy Isaacs.

A gathering of Kendall’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil to begin at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton. Her interment will follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.

We love Kendall, and she loves us. She was and will always be our sunshine.

“Keep your face always toward the sunshine and the shadows will fall behind you.”

In celebration of Kendall flowers will be received at Broussard’s. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kendall McDonald Memorial at any MCT Credit Union referencing account number 47611009 and routing number 313187649.
